Take me to the River - group workshop
Enter the liminal with practitioner MuggaRose as we fashion talismans and poppets to carry and take to the River on Mardi Gras day. In this twilight-crafted workshop, we’ll loosen old grief, anchor our spirits, and summon protective, expanding energies to guide us through carnival’s wild, chaotic shimmering portals. Expect whispering textures, curious spirit-creatures, and gentle rites of becoming. W— location revealed in its own time. Step toward the mystery.
MuggaRose has been leading poppet workshops nationwide since 2010, sharing her passion for hands-on folk magic and ancestral craft. Drawing inspiration from her Hungarian heritage, she weaves traditional European folk practices into her teachings, grounding her work in lineage, story, and lived experience.
Through her studies & path in Pagan traditions, MuggaRose discovered a profound resonance with Celtic,UK and Scottish folkloric practices. These paths deepened her ancestral connection and enriched her spiritual praxis, informing both her ritual work and creative ceremony expression.
In 2015, she consciously embraced her paternal Black Forest and broader Germanic roots, integrating those influences into what she calls her “Crafting Priestess” path — a devotional, hands-on spiritual practice explored in Grimoire Chapbook 3. This integration of Hungarian, Celtic, Scottish, and Germanic threads has shaped a uniquely embodied tradition that honors ancestry, craft, and sacred making.
